With the provided hardware, I assembled it by myself in 30 minutes. A rubber mallet and a bit driver would have cut that time in half because the tabs on the planter are a very tight fit and I'm not sure I got the screws into the bench far enough by hand - in the photo mine are on the left compared to the factory installed on the right. Not sure there's room to use a bit driver, as shown, but I'm gonna try to get them in further. Also pictured are a spot of glue on one panel and some possible mildew that both came off easily using disinfecting wipes without effecting the finish and mildew hasn't returned in the week since I built it. Also worth noting is that there are no bolts holding the bench to the planter. I'll be adding some but it does seem sturdy enough as is and offers the option to do a custom configuration if you buy more than one. Overall though, it's exactly as described and I love it!. Kara. I bought this for my balcony and just now assembled. The wood is nice quality from what I can tell, but more importantly, this thing is very well designed for a flatpack bench/sofa. The cushions are incredibly comfortable, too! It's nice and wide, it feels so good to lie down on. The description recommends treating and sealing the wood, by the way. Before I put the cushions on, I mixed a mixture of 1:1.5 beeswax and mineral oil, and with gloves on, painted this onto every surface of the wood. I went in with a hairdryer after and melted this wax into the pores of the wood, wiping with a rag as I went to soak up excess. I finished with a good rub of mineral oil on top and wiped all excess. I love this bench. It cames unfinished and it's very dry. I used teak oil to protect the wood. The photo shows it after I rubbed it with the teak oil. There are a few things I want you to know. 1. The center legs are somewhat shorter than the outer legs. 2. It's delicate and somewhat fragile. I have a small crack in one piece. 3. This is 78 inches, really large and beautiful.
