I was skeptical that this chair would be comfortable, but it is! Because you’re able to adjust the recline, and the canvas “hammock” is pretty sturdy, it makes for a good lounger. I love this chair. It is very comfortable with soft leather upholstery and smooth, wooden armrests. The aesthetics are on point as well. The metal frame is really attractive on its own. If I didn’t enjoy the comfort of the back pad, I would leave it off just because I love the look of the metal frame. The back Support leans backward for comfort which is a distinction that makes this chair a lounger. I put it in the bedroom and plan to use it as my reading spot. There’s a lot to love about this leather lounger. They’re also some relatively small problems. To start, whomever did the instruction illustrations has a problem with perspective. You can figure assembly out, but logic is a better predictor of success than those instructions. The legs taper to a fairly small point. They put some tiny rubber pads on the ends of the legs, but they’re really inadequate to protect your hardwood floors or carpet. So you’ll need some kind of rubber end-caps or floor protectors. I like it very much; I thought the wood would be solid and polished a bit. The leather is nice, but glued to a hard backing; somehow I thought it would be a double layered leather and that's all, but it's glued to a hard something, with a bit of a thin fabric underneath the seat. I still like the look of the chair, and the angle makes it comfortable.
