Easy to put together. Very sturdy. There are screws heads in the bed frame in 3 places down the middle of the frame and the center piece of the foundation sits on the screw heads. We have the Heavy Duty Box Spring - Sleep by Wayfair™, but apparently the space between the slats in the box spring are too wide. I've ordered the twin size mattress frame for my daybed at home and it's great. .very sturdy for my memory foam mattress. The only issue is that it's a bit narrow and it may have been better to have gotten a bunkie board instead. I wanted something that would give additional height and stability for the mattress which is why I ordered it. Would definitely recommend but would order for regular bed frame in the future.
