Wood Shower Chair With Arms

The shower bench provides support for lifting and sitting. Solid teak with slats for water drainage. Adjustable foot pads provide height adjustment for sloped shower floors. Indoor-outdoor mold and fungus-resistant Clear stain. Use as a shower bench, stool, or shower chair, or use outdoors or indoors. Great for extra seating as well as storage and display. Very sturdy design. These shower benches have received kudos from healthy young adults, as well as those who need a little extra support, mobility, and safety in the shower. Ergonomic research has shown that providing arms can increase the efficiency of sitting and standing several-fold. Research has further shown that using the arms to resist or lift the body can reduce the strain on hips, joints, knees, and muscles exponentially. Transitioning from standing to sitting is one of the most common tasks they do every day and also one of the most strenuous and physically demanding. Add water and slippery shower surfaces, you will enjoy the added safety and protection of having support arms provided to you. This is the first and only teak shower chair that provides these types of ergonomic and mobility benefits typically found in white plastic medical shower chairs. But their shower benches are attractive and modern and will complement the most modern of bathrooms, as well as luxurious while providing the same benefits as medical shower chairs. They have developed a coating process that both protects the wood and brings out the natural grains and colors of the teak wood. Some assembly is required, but all tools and hardware are provided, as well as complete instructions and assembly diagrams.

Compact footprint fits seamlessly in small bathrooms, walk-in showers, spas, and RVs, catering to diverse household needs. Easy to clean: simply wipe with a damp cloth, no complicated maintenance required.

The chair/bench is beautiful and well-constructed. I had to put it together myself. The instructions are fairly easy to follow but it was much easier using my own set of screwdrivers instead of the wrench the chair comes with. I got the chair in a walnut color and the color is very rich. Also it's quite roomy and can hold all my shower supplies on the bottom shelf and some towels on the top. Would definitely recommend!. S. This teak bench is perfect for my walk-in shower. I have had a total hip replacement AND just dislocated my hip a couple of weeks ago. I really needed a bench but wanted to get something pretty as well as functional...and this fits the bill. Unlike other benches with wider openings between slats, the slats are very close making it more comfortable to sit on. The legs have large rubber pads that are adjustable, which I needed because of the tile. I really love this bench and foresee having it for many years.. Tracy. Cumming, GA. Tue Apr 26 2016
