A contemporary update on a traditional design, this solid wood etagere bookcase features two shelves, x-frame side braces, and an open back design. For a classic arrangement in your living room, start by rolling out a paisley area rug for a pop of pattern, then arrange an oversized leather sofa with nailhead trim and a tonal striped wingback chair around a polished wood coffee table with wrought iron sides. Place this design against the wall beside your television stand and use one shelf to store your DVD collection, and the other to display your favorite reads. Accessorize the shelves with laser-etched hurricane candles, framed family photos, and a vase of freshly-cut daffodils to round out the design.

Love this bookcase it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for. It was relatively easy to put together by myself, but when I got to the very top shelf, I didn’t have the right screws. They sent me the wrong ones but luckily, I looked in my toolbox and I found screws that fit and I was able to finish putting it together. It’s a nice little bookcase for the price. I love shopping at WAYFAIR.. Kathryn. Chicago, IL. Sun Sep 13 2026

This freestanding bookcase delivers a streamlined silhouette with plenty of open storage for your books and decor. It's crafted from kiln-dried solid wood for a sturdy frame that stands up to everyday use in your busy home. The vertical design features clean lines that blend with both classic and modern interiors, while the finish highlights the natural grain for added depth. This piece comes unfinished or in the finish of your choosing, and it's available in multiple sizes to fit your space. Its spacious shelves are adjustable for customizable storage, and the solid back panel provides a finished look.

This was initially going to be a 1 star review because when the bookcase arrived, every shelf and the bottom of the bookcase was damaged. I changed it to 4 stars because of how great the product support has been. I submitted the issue to wayfair and they put me in touch with the manufacturer, who offered to send a replacement if I sent the damaged one back. I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of returning such a large item so I asked for a partial refund and they offered 25 back, which I felt like was fair. They also responded every time in a timely manner. So while the product did arrive damaged, customer service was excellent and this experience won’t deter me from ordering from wayfair again.. Vertical side slats keep items secure while adding an open, airy look. Its folding design allows for quick setup and convenient storage or portability whenever you decide to rearrange. Plus, the included tip-over restraint device adds extra security.

Came beautifully packaged! No dings. The color is slightly more orangey than I wanted but I’m okay with that. I love that there is no assembly, and the wood is fairly good quality for the price. Just two negatives - I wish I could remove the nubs (that join the units together) on the top unit, and the company sticker on the unit was a bear to get off - I don’t know why companies put them on the unit like that! A least make them easier to remove. Took me 25 minutes with goo be gone to scrape it off. I left the bottom one on that can’t be seen bc I don’t feel like scraping another one off!. Lisa. US.
