[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a nice bar stool. I love the color of the wood and the design of the chair. It is very sturdy feeling. The frame is all one piece so you don’t have to worry about any of that coming loose. It was for the most part very easy to put together. The only things that I didn’t like about the chair was placing the seat on the frame. The “holes” on the bottom of the seat were not lined up well with the ones on the frame. Then once you have the seat lined where it needs to be, it would slide around as you tried to place the screws. I feel like it should have had either groves or notches on both the frame and seat to line up so it doesn’t slide too far forward or back, making the chair awkward to sit in. The other thing I didn’t like was its packaging when shipped. The frame came separate from the rest. Its box was completely beat up and open, and the box with the wood pieces was excessively too big. I absolutely adore these barstools! I purchased them when we moved into our home six years ago, and I’m happy to say that we still use and love them today. One thing that makes me especially impressed with these chairs is that they’ve survived six years with rambunctious kids. My children are not particularly gentle with furniture, and these chairs have been tipped over more than a few times. As a result, the backrests have loosened and slightly broken in a couple of spots over the years. Thankfully, we’ve been able to tighten everything back up with an Allen wrench, and they’ve remained perfectly usable. The black legs have also accumulated a few chips and scuffs from daily family life, kids running into them, toys, and general wear and tear. However, after six years of heavy use, I still think they look fantastic. One thing to note is that the seats are wood and have decorative grooves where crumbs and food can collect. It’s not a major issue, but you may occasionally need to wipe them out or vacuum the grooves to keep them clean. Overall, I would absolutely recommend these barstools. They are stylish, durable, and have held up remarkably well in a busy household. I receive compliments on them all the time, and people are always surprised when I tell them they’re from Wayfair.
