I have been looking for just the right pieces to enhance the area over my mantel and these fit the bill. Installation entails using two screws to apply a plate which the lights fit over. It took around four hours to charge them initially; I can't speak to how well they hold a charge as we didn't really purchase them for extra light. Charging is as easy as charging your phone and they come with two charge cords. They do have dimmers and a remote. The shade arrived damaged but Wayfair is making good on that. It is VERY heavy but a unique piece. The hanging holes are not really level as we marked the wall distance between the two holes with painters tape and then put the tape on the wall with a level.... once hung it was not completely level!
