(The trick is to not tighten the bolts until all have been inserted halfway in their respected places.) We spend a lot of time around this table, and we feel they will stand the test of time. I ordered 4 of these chairs for my dining room table and they are very nice. The seats are a nice crisp white and are soft, no need to break them in. They are solid wood, painted a dark black, exactly what I was looking for. It was super easy putting them together.
