The chairs were carefully packed to avoid damage. The assembly instructions were fairly easy to follow except for the part with the chair stretchers. That was a bit confusing and I had to reassemble it to make it fit right. Also some of the holes were difficult to align. these chairs are heavy and sturdy. they are deep and when you sit all the way back, they are very comfortable. assembly was very easy, took me longer to unpack the boxes and unwrap the chairs/seat/legs. The chairs are lovely, a rich brown color, no reddish tint to them. Haven’t had much time sitting on them but they seem comfortable.
