These mantel bases are truly unique in design and function. Primarily used in decorative applications they can make a dramatic difference in fireplace surrounds. It will not rot or crack and holds up strongly against natural elements. It comes to your factory primed and ready for your paint, faux finish, gel stain, marbleizing, and more. With these mantel bases, you are only limited by your imagination.

I had ordered two of these from another company (A-Z). They were packaged really bad and one was broken. I then ordered one from Wayfair and all though it was packaged so much better with extra packaging it was broken in half . I think that the company that makes them doesn't ship them to retailers very well. That being said my contractor was able to glue it cause it was cleanly broken and you can't tell. They are really beautiful just order early cause you may have to go through a few to get good ones . I'm very happy I got them they really add a lot to my mantle .. Christina Olivieri. This beam is constructed out of ¾” thick Aspen wood and is 6 1/2" tall. You choose the length and depth. Each piece of wood is unique and will have more or less character/knots than the other. It is designed to look like a solid beam without weight. The distressed beams are painted either black or white and have the edges sanded over and a brown stain/wax applied for a distressed look. The distressed beams will not be a solid color. Easy to install utilizing a French cleat mounting bracket which is included. Screws are not included. You will need to purchase 3" screws for the application you will be attaching the bracket. Corbels will increase the total height of the beam to 13". The corbels have been pre-drilled and include screws. You will need to attach the corbels to the beam upon receipt. Wood is considered a combustible material. Heat clearances must be adhered to. If installing over a fireplace, check your local building codes and the manufacturer's instructions for your specific fireplace insert or stove.

I absolutely love this mantel! We purchased our home in March. It which was built in 1995 and I’ve slowly been updating things throughout the house. This was exactly what I was looking for and it was so easy to mount on the fireplace. The entire process took about an hour, start to finish - removing the old mantle to mounting the new.. Emily.
