Took me about an hour and that was leisurely assembling with cats (helping). It is very heavy and sturdy. Be careful not to over-tighten the legs because it starts to deform the brace pieces. I ordered the cream color. What was great: solid and high quality construction, easy assembly, perfect design for my purposes, great delivery. What disappointed: definitely not a cream color. It was hard to capture with my cell phone, but the color is definitely darker than all the pictures online, and it is a decidedly GREEN color, although a very light green. It is also more distressed than the pictures, so it had a tad too much country vibe than I wanted. But, it fits my space and is functioning perfectly to my needs. It is definitely one of the highest quality pieces of furniture I've ever bought online. The drawer hardware is very high quality for an online furniture item. It came halfway assembled, and the drawers were all put together, which is always the hardest part. So I was able to put it together by myself in about 40 minutes. I like the set but had trouble with one of the end tables not being lined up correctly in the back end for a placement of the back board. That was really upsetting and we had to hack away at the slide in board to narrow it down for to fit in on two sides instead of 3.
