This is the best idea ever, I love it! I was not thrilled about a dark color so I took fabric and glue gunned it all around the wood pieces after I assembled most of it, their was enough room to do this and it worked great. I really like this bed for the price. It’s sturdier than I thought it might be and the accessible storage space it added to my bedroom is very helpful. It was fairly tedious to assemble but the instructions are good. My only reason for not giving it five stars is the assembly time, the fact that the side skirts are split into two pieces which creates a narrow but visible gap (instructions state they can be caulked), and quality of the wood paneling not being quite what I expected but ultimately not cheap looking either.. Item is exactly as described. My husband was able to assemble it himself without any complaints. I also went with a thicker mattress 16 inches. The hydraulics still work without any issue. I do wish it was taller. That would be way better storage and it would look more expensive. I’d say the top of the back frame reaches my chest level and I am 53. The color is not as all of as the photo maybe a little bit more emerald but if you brush it in different directions, it can go either way.
