Quality is fair, not exceptional. Upholstery is only on the outside of the bed, not behind the headboard, footboard or rails. Bed is assembled with bolts that are visible on the footboard which I don’t like. The fabric is linen and on the lighter side, not yellowish or grey. Hammered features are a nice contrast to the conventional upholstered bed design. Bed can be mixed with contemporary furniture or antiquish, like I have. All in all, I’d recommend. I love this bed so much! It is gorgeous solid wood!!! The directions are super simple. It took me and a helper 30-40 minutes to put this together. A second person is useful just because the head board is quite heavy to handle alone. Not impossible, you could do it alone. Seriously, easiest bed I have ever put together.
