I didn't put a cabinet on this wall because I felt like it would feel crowded by the door. However, when I was trying to figure out shelves, I just couldn't get the balance right with the cabinets to the left going all the way to the ceiling. When I saw this I thought it would be perfect. Some other reviews mentioned 3" planters didn't fit. All of these plants are in 3.5" planters from the nursery. If you cut the lip about 1/4-1/2" down on two sides across from each other. You can then squeeze the container to allow the cut areas to just squeeze past each other allowing a fit. I also took a piece of string and put it on the bottom of the container to reach into the ceramic planter. This way when you water and it drains out of the container, the string will bring it back into the soil as a self water situation. Here's another tip. Before adding your plants, hang the planter and step back and look at it. I had to fix two of the containers so the spacing was more even. MUCH easier to do without weight in them. Lesson learned. Sitting on this outdoor porch swing on a pious and tranquil day. Feels like you are exposed to a natural mattress, breathing together with nature. There seems someone murmuring. What stable structure? The capacious swing is suitable for three people to sit on.

I love the swing, but found out that one of the boards under the seat was cracked almost all the way through. (Double check everything before putting it together because it looked like a darker grain in the board.) They have reached out to the manufacturer since it was most likely something that happened during their process. It seems really sturdy and it's adjustable to different heights. This planter was purchased to be the new home for a spider plant which has lived with us for the past 38 years. The plant is huge and needed just exactly the larger space and volume that this gem offers. The planter is very strong, made if light weight and appearance materials and hangs quite majestically without being overbearing. I may be required to buy another to place outside each Spring with a monstrous bouquet of annual or perennial flowers! It is truly a great find at under #35.00. I see that there are also sale offerings for pairs of this size and its two slightly smaller size brothers! Wish I had seen that before. Just another excuse for more house and yard natural beauty.
