From 1969, this evocative photograph captures a sun-drenched moment at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc on the French Riviera, where sleek wooden speedboats line the pier in quiet anticipation. Set against the serene expanse of the Mediterranean Sea, the scene embodies the effortless glamour and leisurely sophistication that defined the Riviera lifestyle during this golden era. Waterskiers carve through the calm waters, weaving a narrative of freedom and exhilaration amid one of Europe’s most iconic luxury destinations. The image reflects a time when the hotel was a magnet for the world’s elite, blending natural beauty with a vibrant social culture. Slim Aarons, renowned for his evocative photographs of, as he described it, "attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places," was the quintessential chronicler of high society. After serving as a war photographer, Aarons turned his lens to a new landscape: the glamorous lives of Hollywood elites, Palm Beach socialites, and jet-setting debutantes and princes. His work for society publications captured an aspirational world of leisure and luxury that defined the American upper class throughout the mid-20th century, creating images that remain timeless symbols of sophistication and style. The photograph is presented as a high-resolution scan of the photo's original photographic slide, complete with hand-lettered archival notations along the mount. Offered exclusively by Soicher Marin, this edition preserves the full character of the original format, transforming it into a striking piece of wall art that merges history, authenticity, and timeless style. More than a photograph, it is a curated artifact of American cultural glamour, bringing a refined yet playful sophistication to any well-appointed interior. Every piece in our unique Slim Aarons collection is meticulously handcrafted using archival materials and printed on premium, luster photographic paper with environmentally safe inks, custom framed by skilled artisans who ensure that each work of art meets the exacting standards befitting such an iconic photograph.

This product is hand-chiseled out of recycled steel oil drums by Haitian artisans using techniques first developed by Georges Liautaud in the late 1950s when he chalked out his first design on a flattened steel oil drum and then cut it out by hand with a mallet and chisel. As each piece is handmade, its final dimensions and finish may vary slightly.

The tile itself is beautiful. This is the third set I have purchased, the others were the 1/2”. The first set I bought a year ago and it came well wrapped and no breakage. This year I bought the second set and it had no wrapping around the tiles and were just on the cardboard base with flimsy cellophane and covered with peanuts, over half were broken. Wayfair customer service is excellent and they replaced the broken tile. This last set came the same way and again over half were broken, and again are being replaced.. Pam. Jacksonville, FL. Tiny Block MB-009 is a handcrafted 3D reclaimed teak wood wall panel made with 5 cm × 5 cm teak blocks arranged at random in four different thicknesses—5 mm, 10 mm, 15 mm, and 20 mm—to create a dimensional surface. The teak blocks are adhered to a CARB-approved tropical hardwood plywood backing made of Meranti wood. Each 3D panel is made by hand to exacting standards for quality and an artisanal aesthetic. The dimensional design can enhance audio quality, making these teak wood wall panels a great addition to AV rooms, pubs, club interiors, and other spaces. Natural wood grain color variation means no two panels have exactly the same grain color, finish, or wood knots. Tiny Block is supplied unfinished in its natural form and can receive a water- or oil-based finish after installation; a clear finish will darken the wood and give it a more weathered appearance. Eco-consciously manufactured with 100% reclaimed wood content, these panels may help qualify projects for LEED MR 4.1 & 4.2 recycled content points and EQ 4.4 low VOC emission points.
