I purchased the black nickel finish, which is a glossy black-tinted chrome. It’s pretty good quality. The base is relatively heavy — which is a good thing — and the main cylinder and tree “stem” assembly which attaches into the main cylinder. Tools are provided. The entire assembly took about 15-20 minutes. While I did this alone, it would be helpful to have a second person available to help with tasks such as holding the base while the main cylinder bolt is being tightened down. It’s cute, but not what I was expecting. The tree trunk is hard plastic, plain and not realistic. Then the tree has realistic artificial flowers that are really pretty. About six flowers fell off just by taking it out of the box. The lighting effects are nice, but I prefer just the solid glow.
