This is likely not what many people are using this skate for, but were doing it to help socialize our wonderful new dog with my two cats, one of them is not very dog savvy. When we tried to do this with a normal baby gate, she kept trying to launch herself over it so of course, he wanted to chase her. This was the most affordable option that I could find for something floor to ceiling that would allow them to become more familiar without the potential danger that an unexpected interaction could have caused. These are in the style of a Roman shade, which is a nice concept for covering the glass panel in French Doors. They are magnetic, so easy to position up or drop down. However, instead of some type of metal or sturdy resin material, the “rod” inserts at the back of the shade are cheap plastic tubes which do not fit tightly enough or stay together very well— when inserting to the back of the curtain, the sections come apart. There are several colors to choose from, and the material is lightweight, but blocks even the strong sunlight we have in the desert. Unfortunately, after a couple of days "Sami" became indifferent to it. Wasn't worth giving up a living room window for limited use. He doesn't mind the sill of a screened open window. Decided to return it which turned into a bit of a hassle. It had to be sent back using original packaging or equivalent. I took photos of each unpackaging step. Without them, repacking it would have been next to impossible. Wayfair did offer a partial credit if I wanted to keep the item and skip the return process. The ~$35 credit against the $169.99 cost was not acceptable to me so, I managed to repackage it and send it back. Had to pay FEDEX return shipping charge of $33.
