Keep a close eye on your feathered friends dining by placing this ClearView Window Tray Bird Feeder in your window. The semicircular top and base of the unit rest inside your home and a polycarbonate window here keep the birds visible. Two rectangular adjustable PVC panels, form the front of the item and allow the unit to be mounted into most single and double-hung windows from 27" to 36" wide. The main reason we have chosen the clear panel is that a lot of bids are territorial and would attack a mirror reflection of themselves. Our design and having a clear viewing panel help prevent the birds from seeing a reflection and trying to attack their own reflection, which could harm the bird.

The large wooden feeder has a few design flaws. The acrylic windows doesnt stay in place and the wood is very thin and the screws became stripped and wouldnt tighten. The tracks for the windows doesnt line up well and made it difficult to slide the windows in place. Its not as sturdy as I hoped and am worry that it will fall apart once seeds are placed in and birds try to come eat. Its a nice concept but it does fall short of the mark. Pretty well constructed. Everything fit together nicely. Directions are a bit vague at times. But my 16 year old daughter assembled it completely on her own with the tools provided in the kit. Fit and finish is nice. Rather sturdy for a wire cage versus a wrought iron cage. But thats why the price is half of a wrought iron. I bought this gorgeous cage for our budgie. It’s perfect for a small bird. I don’t recommend for the larger and stronger birds because the wires are thin and could be possibly bent. I also would not recommend it for finches due to the bar spacing and the possibility of their tiny heads getting stuck. As another reviewer stated, it’s not a shiny silver, but great. It does appear silver in the light. I love the transparent base that allows me to see my bird even when he’s in the bottom. This cage would be large enough for a pair of parakeets. I purchased the black stand elsewhere because Wayfair only had it in white. It’s easy to assemble with no tools needed. The only improvement I can see is for the manufacturer to as another door on a lower level. The one door is up high. It’s a great cage for the money and looks absolutely gorgeous in our new home..
