Pediments are the portion of the trim that is located above the pilasters, which are the column-like frames on the sides of windows and doors. Directly below the pediments, though, between the pediment and the pilasters, is a crosshead or breastboard. The crosshead is the flatter, protruding section directly above the door. Pediments can be purchased by themselves or can come with a crosshead already attached. These pediments are manufactured out of high-density urethane, which is made to resemble wood without the maintenance required by wood products. Urethane products are resistant to cracking, splitting, and rotting. They are usually less expensive than wood alternatives.

Be mesmerized by the intricate design and beauty of this Wall Décor. The piece is ultimately durable with an iron & galvanized steel frame. The center is beautifully designed with iron scrolling and a metal flower brushed with a brownish-gold stain found on its petals. A very versatile Wall Décor piece that can be used for rustic homes, anything farmhouse, or traditional living! This collection will put a wow factor on your wall with its unique design resonating from every angle.

Very large and heavy piece. The outer metal is dull and not shiny like the picture. It has a blue gray cast to it. The center flower is shiny and pretty. I put it above my stainless steel BBQ. I am just disappointed that is isn't more shiny around the outside to match the center flower and my BBQ.. Debbie. Palm Desert, CA. Wed Jun 03 2026
