I’ve been looking for one with kind of measurements and with some adjustments to the structure (for our needs and wants) this has been great. The instructions were pictures which I thought were a challenge, and a few pieces were cracked.. I used glue and packing tape for repair. But not with removing a star. I skipped the braces ( first steps so I could put it together in the house ) when my husband and I could assemble this outdoors I did end up replacing some of the upper parts with the same wire as the bottom. I purchased at tractor supply then replaced the two doors with just wire ( a good stapler is needed.) The big door at the bottom I added an extra lock so it gives me the access needed for “just in case” my cats would run in if I shake the treat jar. I got two pieces of strapping for the top to support the top by the roof and one for the center just for additional support. I am able to use power tools but I didn’t want to come up with the big design so honestly this is great! I put the structure together myself and it probably would have gone quicker if I had help but I took my time and the instructions were easy enough to follow. The wood is strong enough for indoor but I don’t think it would last long outside in the elements. I didn’t use the roofing material that came with it since I have it inside the house. This catio is a game changer!! My daughter’s cat is obsessed with it! It looks nice and is perfect for what I need! But the screws for the box need to be longer. I had two come out within minutes of putting them in. I wanted a catio, but I'm just not in the position to do it right now. My 2 fur babies lay on a bench in front of the picture window all the time, so in attempt to give them an upgrade I took a chance on these. Of course I got 2 because they don't share exceptionally well. The first day they showed no interest in actually getting in but then it became a clear favorite spot to be, practically abandoning the bench. They seem to have a "new" smell when first unpacked, but it went away quickly. I do recommend having a helper (other than your inspector cat) to assemble, especially if using a manual screwdriver. It’s nice. Quality is good not the greatest some parts came dented (wood and cage material) but overall good quality. Sooooo many screws to put together so get your drill ready took three people for us to build but definitely minimum is two. We reinforced the platforms with extra screws and few other areas. We were missing 7 main screws but nothing we couldn’t get at the stores. We have three heavy/fat cats. Overall I’d say if you would like a safe and spacious enclosure for your cats this is nice.. I decided to paint this cat cage the same color as my house and detached garage. It is so cute. I’m so happy with how it turned out aesthetically and the cats really love it too. Shipping was fast and packaged well. Pretty easy to assemble about 10 minutes solo. It is pretty well made accept for the fact the two extenders on side are made wrong definitely made in China they should be the same measurements of the frame and on the outside of frame like an ac window unit, they are on inside and about 4inches short. Had to duct tape and get creative to make it work and seal the outside air Pretty sturdy once put in window. Works great! My cat absolutely loves it and took to it in a day. We both appreciate that she doesn’t need my help any more getting out, as raising the window was a hassle. The ability to lock it so she can only come in makes it easy to set a time when we don’t want her to go back out while still letting her come in of her own volition. Also great that we’ll be getting fewer mosquitoes in the house. I wish there was more padding included since the knobs for extending the panels make it so that the bottom is not flush with my window.
