Great Quality and Perfect for Hard-to-Find Window Sizes I bought these shutters for one of our smaller windows and had a hard time finding the correct size through other websites and big box stores. Wayfair had so many more size options, so these ended up being the perfect solution. I’ve purchased Lifetime vinyl shutters from other vendors before and have always been impressed with the quality, and these were no exception. Installation was extremely easy, and they immediately elevated the look of what was otherwise a pretty plain window. I was especially impressed with how sturdy they are. Some raised panel vinyl shutters can feel flimsy and may crack during installation, but these are surprisingly rigid while still being lightweight and easy to handle. I also really like the realistic woodgrain texture. I’ve had them installed for a while now and haven’t noticed any fading from the sun. When using outdoors, before planting, invert the container and remove the rubber stopper. Store the rubber stopper in a safe place to use at the end of the growing season. Removing the stopper will allow water to properly drain from the Countryside planter. For additional soil aeration, add a soil amendment such as perlite, small stones, or clay pieces to the bottom—and up to 1/3—of the container.

Solid product BUT significant defect is NO DRAINAGE HOLES. Without them, expect anything planted to sit in soggy roil and rot. Had to buy drill bit and drill it out myself. I used Vulcan brand #028365, which is a 7/16” bit (just shy of 1/2 inch), the largest bit that will fit on a standard drill. Any hole smaller will clog readily and be useless. This is an inexpensive home-user brand readily available at many hardware stores. “Speed steel with a 135 deg split point eliminates the need for center punch and keeps drill from skating on hard surfaces.” Recommended for metals, but package also states plastics. You want the split point to keep the drill from skidding on slick plastic surface. Pain in the neck, though. Why does anyone make a planter without drainage!!
