A beautiful piece. Know that the length works IF you don't tuck in the spread under pillows. Width is not sufficient to cover both sides equally to the floor. This could be a function of our king mattress being tall, however. The width is not a problem, however, since only one side of the bed faces the entrance to the bedroom. Color: We got the gold/burgundy. Gold is the operative word, and in certain light, the color is more like a paper bag. In retrospect, we should have chosen the off-white or the brown. To get more variation in the color and to see a little of the burgundy, I flipped the spread on upside down. Now, I can see more variation in the color and a LITTLE of the burgundy. There's so much to love about this lightweight quilt set...it is a beautiful design and the color of the body is beautiful. It is very soft and would be perfect for most nights in the south. HOWEVER, the color of the trim and the backs of the shams is not as shown in the photos on the online listing! It is a VIBRANT yellow that clashes with the warm gold (with a hint of burnt orange) of the pattern on the quilt. I left it on my bed for a day and evening, trying to accept the clash of colors. When I first got this it felt like a thick, heavy table cloth; however, when I washed it the fabric became soft and seemingly lighter (oddly). I expected something even softer and lighter than what it is after the washing but this will do. I ordered a king but received a super king pique which is fine for me because it fits my queen bed like a quilt while being a single layer thick sheet kind-of-a cover, not like a tiny coverlet. The color is very, very close if not identical to the picture. I got rid of my thick quilt and replaced it with a thin one and this. Besides the reasonable price, the quality of the product is off the charts. They generously give you three (3) shams instead of two (2) AND a really pretty throw pillow with goldish / light brownish embroidery on it (that includes the pillow). I can't recommend this set enough. (Note: I didn't include the enclosed bed skirt because again, I didn't want it to look like a bed but rather a couch. I highly recommend this purchase. Go for it!.
