Assembly was a little tricky because the leaf did not align with the pre-drilled holes. Moving the hardware fixed this. I purchased the walnut color version which a very slight reddish tone compared to my Article dark walnut tables and has less of a sheen but pairs with them well. Bought two of these for my family room and I am very pleased. Delivery was about a week, and I assembled them myself without tools in about 20 minutes. The packaging was superior; no damages. I purchased because the stain color was similar to other furniture in the room, even if the wood grain was different. They are nice and very functional. The drawer is perhaps not the best feature, as there is a bit of a gap and they don't really slide smoothly. When they set this table up in my formal dining room I was horrified. It looked like something that came out of my potting shed. The description didn't mention that it was a rough rustic finish. On top of that it probably was dirty from sitting in the warehouse. However I wiped it down and put on a couple of coats of polyurethane and it now looks more elegant.
