The back cushion isn't thick, so you can slightly feel the stiff back of the sofa if you lean too hard against the back, but it's still comfortable. My 18 year old son put it together and it did take about 3 hours. I loved that it came with a cover. I didn't realize that. I hope we will be able to use it for years to come. Before we had our old couch outside with a cover and were able to use it for a long time. The cover ripped and I didn't notice and it rained a lot, so that ruined the couch. (It was also 18 years old.) I am excited to know that now I have a sofa that is made for the outdoors and some rain won't ruin it. I am excited to have people over and relax outdoors.
