It wasn't hard to put together in my opinion, and no pieces were missing or broken. It's sturdy because it's bamboo and it has a nice finish on it. The drawers don't have rollers so they can slide all the way out easily if you pull them all the way out, so make sure not to pull the drawers out too fast. I like how long the drawers are, even though they are not tall they still fit a lot of smaller or flatter items. It's the perfect storage chest for beauty items, art projects, office items and more. I have always liked tall dressers aka HighBoys because to they take up less space. Anyway this dresser came fairly quickly and it took me about 3 hours to put together.
