The sides do seat nicely, but the front, below the lid has two decorative cut-outs that will allow any would-be odors to escape. It should have registered with me upon ordering. Even though the website description in the product overview says it has a tight closing lid, the photo of it clearly shows the two cut-outs contradicting the description. Wayfair, you need to fix your product overview description, as it isn't accurate. Im keeping it though. It's attractive, the price is right and the assembly was a piece of cake.
