The holes for the wooden pegs were not drilled, deep enough or drilled too deep. The pegs broke in half when trying to maneuver the box to put the sides on. Additionally, the very large wood screws that are meant to attach the four sides together were almost impossible to screw into the item and they would not go in all the way. I always choose black because it goes with almost anything. This large planter I am using for a lot of carrots, parsnips lemongrass eucalyptus in the spring. I plant a lot of some peas and dive butter crunch, lettuce you can plant bushes and trees in this but right at the moment I’m liking that I can plant Root vegetables along with other kind of bell peppers and jalapeño peppers and even eggplant. These planter boxes were for a housewarming gift for a new homeowner. We were very excited to take them to the new home and fill them with plants and brighten the rooms, so we ordered several. The issue was not with the planter boxes themselves, but with Wayfair... The items arrived and two of them were clearly NOT "new" and had black and brown handprints on the outside of the white planters which would not come off, from dirt and/or soot in battered boxes. The other items were fine, but we could not start/finish the project as all of the planters were not usable. We had to scramble and find 6 replacement boxes locally and settle for what we could find which did not match. Trying to deal with the RUDE Wayfair rep to remedy this was even more frustrating. We ended up keeping the boxes due to not wanting to deal with anyone from wayfair again and losing out on hundreds of dollars for the mistake.
