Mine had 2 large black transfer marks from the rear hand to the marble (black scrapes) that mostly came off after a good scrub (small marks remain embedded). The clock itself is just perfect. The honed, "dry" look of the marble elevates the beauty. Amazingly, two distinct marble patterns are perfectly separated in one solid block. Just a gorgeous, heavy, top-tier clock.
