Very comfortable with the curved seat. No need for a cushion. Assemnly was straight forward but needed some muscle to get the screws all the way in and the bolts tightened down. Rocks smoothly and is more spacious than I thought it would be as far as seat width. The back height is appreciated, too. Even my picky husband is pleased with the look and quality. All in all, it is a very nice outside rocker. I bought it as a gift for my auntie who mentioned she had always wanted one, and I do think it will last out in the elements even here in Florida for some time to come. Love the little compartment, although it's not large enough to store the pillow as I had been hoping. However, your sunscreen, mozzy spray, sunnies and maybe a book shall fit fine. Depending on your attitude towards putting together diy furniture builds I would say this was a little challenging and definitely it would be easier with 2 people. Definitely grab your favorite rubber mallet and possibly finish the edges with a sanding block. I also recommend to make sure to measure thrice before ordering your pillow as its not a very typical size and trust, you will want one. I ended up finding one that is 43.3x19.6 that fits pretty well but I wish the company that sells the chair would offer one included or at least sell one that fits. I couldn’t be happier with this oversized rocking chair! Both my daughter (6) and I can actually fit on it together and exactly what I was looking for…comfortable, sturdy, and the perfect size for relaxing outside. Assembly was straightforward and fairly easy (although I did lose a bolt in the grass so I don’t recommend putting together in the grass) with clear instructions that made the process smooth. These patio rocking chairs looked easy to assemble at first since there weren’t many parts, but it ended up being more work than I expected. The material is HDPE plastic (not real wood like I originally thought), but it does have a wood-like look and feel. The Allen wrench they provide really isn’t enough — some of the holes weren’t fully pre-drilled, and a few had plastic covering them that I had to push through. The long screws are no joke either. Trying to put those in by hand will wear your wrist out fast. Thankfully, my son showed up right in the middle of me working on the first chair and brought an impact driver, which made a huge difference — although that’s still why the first one took me about an hour. The second chair only took around 30 minutes once I had the right tool. That said, the finished chairs are absolutely beautiful, sturdy, and very comfortable — just like the pictures.
