Very happy with my Pilarcitos Kitchen Island! It was pretty easy to put together, only needed my hubby to hold the frame while I added the two end pieces then at the end when we needed to flip it right side up. Note, the top is extremely heavy so you will need help. It is very substantial and offers lots of places to hold cookbooks and mixers and such.. Kerry. Missouri. Mon Sep 08 2025

Made of solid pine wood from renewable resources.

After years of deciding what would fit and look right in my kitchen, I finally found this. Order furniture online is always scary because I can't put my hands on it, so I was delighted when this arrived. It's solid wood, very sturdy, and gorgeous. Exactly the farmhouse work table look I was going for. As other reviews have said, the top is two pieces; for me, this is not a con because most antique tables are made that way. Yes, there are knots in the wood on top; it's not a smooth butcher block. Depending on how you'll be using it, that shouldn't be an issue. However, if I decide I want that, I can always take the top off and replace with a solid slab of butcher block and still be at a price lower than it would've taken me to buy everything and built this. All in all a good purchase, highly recommend.. Jlee. Thu Oct 08 2026

Treat yourself and your home to a kitchen island that prioritizes plentiful storage and durability. A durable, hard-wearing melamine top is designed to resist scratches, stains, and everyday kitchen wear. Use this sturdy, chic furniture piece to help define your kitchen or place it in your dining room as a sideboard option. So versatile and stylish, you’ll wonder how you ever went without it.

Good basic island for a kitchen needing more counter and drawer space. Just like all the other reviews said, its incredibly short and about 6 inches shorter than our kitchen counters, so we plan to modify the legs to make it taller and maybe add doors to the bottom for extra cabinet space. The open shelving is very short, but nicely fits our dutch ovens and cast iron wok on display. I knew the measurements of the drawers ahead of time, so I knew Id need to configure my ziploc bags and things like tinfoil carefully, but they do in fact fit. Its nice having a junk drawer, tea drawer, and drawer for potholders and oven mitts. (I wouldnt recommend trying to use the drawers for spices as I dont think they would fit, and if they did it wouldnt fit many.) Shipping took a little over a week. The initial packages arrived with the top part damaged on the corner and a missing piece for assembly (I received two of something I only needed one of, and then zero of the piece necessary for completing the assembly), so I reached out to Wayfair customer service and they sent out the replacement pieces which took another week, but besides the inconvenience of delayed assembly it was a smooth process. All in all, Im happy with what I got for the price (380 after sale price and 15 off coupon). I wouldnt pay more than that given that none of it is real wood and assembly took me 2 hours even with an electric drill, but for the cost it looks nice in the space and functions well.. Savannah.
