I absolutely love this 52" electric fireplace with mantel! It fits my space perfectly and looks like it was made for my living room. I also paid for the assembly service, and it was well worth it. The installer was professional, efficient, and had everything assembled in about 40 minutes. One feature I really appreciate is that the fireplace isn't overly heavy. I can easily pull it away from the wall whenever I need to access the outlets for the fireplace or my TV without any hassle. The flame effect is absolutely stunning—it's incredibly realistic and creates such a warm, cozy atmosphere, even when the heat isn't on. Since it's currently summer here in the desert, I haven't needed to use the heater very much, but I did test it, and it works perfectly. If you're on the fence about buying this fireplace, don't hesitate. It's beautiful, well-built, easy to live with, and adds so much charm to the room. Love the top of this fireplace!! It’s hollow but looks beautiful. We love the look of this fireplace even the original color looked nice. The other reviews are true the panels chip very easy at the corners but it wasn’t a problem for us bc we wanted a black fireplace. It’s kind of silly we bought this to paint it BUT we loved the look just not the color we wanted plus it was on sale and other black fireplaces were over 1500 dollars so we saved 800 with a little labor.. I decided on and purchased this mantle for many reasons. 1) It being a Pearl Mantle let me know it would be made with quality. 2) It’s real wood and not some sort of plastic or pressed board. 3) it’s decorative and accentuates my decor perfectly and 4) the cost wasn’t cheap, but wasn’t unreasonably high! It arrived nicely packed, but I took one star away as it did not come with the 2 inch wood screws needed to do its install! It also did not come with instructions for installation. This meant searching online for instructions and having to go get the screws needed for the install. The legs attach easily to the header with nuts and bolts. Mitered hanger board assembly is included for easy installation as well as a 3-piece mitered scribe molding set to hide any gaps after installation. This mantel has a 1-1/2 in. projection off of the wall leaving a nice pocket behind the mantel to accommodate your tile, stone, marble, etc. Look for the pearl inlay that graces the right-hand side of the shelf as proof that you have received an authentic Pearl Mantel. Paint grade only. Comes painted white and is ready to install.
