Purchased this for my 14 year old daughter and she's loving it! Took me a couple nights to put it together and the directions weren't super clear at points but was able to piece it together even with a few re-dos. The cabinet door isn't flush with the side that opens but not enough to bother me to send it back. The soft close on that cabinet door is a nice feature. After seeing other reviews I was a little concerned, but thankfully my unit was undamaged & no missing pieces. Overall satisfied, but there are a couple of things to note. 1. Each piece was stamped with an identifying number (as it should be), but some of the pieces have that stamp on the "finished" side that shows after assembly is complete. Most did come off with alcohol, but not the thin backing piece behind the shelves & the drawer bottoms. Cleaning those pieces with alcohol lightened the marks but did not completely remove them. (See my photo.) ALL those marks should be on the back sides that will never show. Very thoughtless on the manufacturer's part. 2. There are no starter holes or even markings for attaching the drawer glides on the drawers themselves, so you have to guess at the position. (They DO have starter holes for the part of the glides that mount on the vanity walls.) Without knowing exactly where to place that part of the glide, the drawer can wind up sitting pushed back or sticking out too far instead of lining up with the edge of the vanity. This is a serious omission. Also, even with the starter holes, the wide drawer under the mirror on my unit isn't sitting quite right. - Very pretty when done, looks like the picture. Better to have two people do it to stay on track and take up less time as it’s very time consuming. I did it by myself and it took around 6h. - !!Make sure to use all the little wood dowels in any hole, the instructions will give you critical places where it should be placed but not all. I didn’t know that so I just put it in places where the intrusion says, ended up having the drawers detached from each other but easy fix if you just go back in and add the wooden dowels!! - Another side note and common sense, the desk is very prone to water damage so don’t leave any wet things on the desk for a long time as it will make the paint crack — - - Mirror was on the more yellow side, maybe it was just mine.
