The pinch plates are really cute and it would’ve been OK right out of the box, but I did give it a quick little steam just to get out some of the wrinkles from being folded. Since I use a duvet cover anyway, it isn't a dealbreaker. It also feels a little warmer than I expected, so if you're a very hot sleeper, you may want to keep that in mind. That said, I specifically wanted an all-season comforter, and it strikes a good balance between warmth and comfort. The biggest surprise was the value. I was hesitant buying knowing it’s polyester and I sometimes feel hot at night. I would still recommend cotton shell if you’re a hot sleeper and not this but it’s not too bad paired with my cotton percale sheets it’s a good balance of crisp cool sheets and a cozy comforter. I spent a fair bit of time researching a good quality duvet and it came packaged very nice and the 400 TC does have a luxurious feel. I have only had the duvet for two nights and I did find that was a little colder than expected Ted.
