This Bedspread is absolutely gorgeous. I love the oversized feature. I love that it is light, if more cover is needed will use a blanket or quilt. It looks great on my antique bed. Hugh is a classic matelassé constructed of mercerized cotton for a sleek appearance and hand feel. The all-over stippling design provides subtle interest, and the coverlet is finished with scalloped edge rounded front corners. Matelasse (mat-la-SAY) is a weaving or stitching technique yielding a pattern that appears quilted or padded. Matelass may be achieved by hand, on a jacquard loom, or a quilting machine. It is meant to mimic the style of hand-stitched quilts made in Marseilles, France. It is a heavy, thick textile that appears to be padded, but actually has no padding within the fabric. Our Hugh Matelasse has a soft, pebble-like texture.

I am so happy with my purchase of this bedspread!!! The bedspread is absolutely beautiful in person!!! It was my third purchase to try and find the right look for my room. I have an extra thick mattress and this one fits wonderfully being a Queen extra wide with plenty of overhang on both sides of the bed. Reinforced stitching helps prevent fading and seam slippage, while vibrant colors add a cheerful touch—making it a great gift. Best of all, it's machine washable for easy care.

Love this bedspread. Ordered a king for my queen sized bed and placed it on sideways so the stripes go side to side rather than lengthwise, I like the look better. It’s puffy, just right for fall and with a blanket for winter. Probably too warm for summer, but I sleep warm so it might be fine for others. It was difficult to find a beigecream color that did not look pinkish or blush. This is ivory and works well with the layers of colors light color I am aiming towards.. Debbie. Tue Oct 20 2026

Remember the warm, comforting embrace of those ruffled bedspreads at grandma's house? Picture one in a delicate, soft shade of white, reminiscent of morning mist or a soft cloud. This queen-sized bedspread, with dimensions of 80Lx60W+27, is a trip down memory lane, a quilted masterpiece with a textured, gathered design and on-point block quilting. The edges? Beautifully ruffled, straight and pre-washed for that familiar, loved feel. Made from 100% cotton, it's as practical as it is beautiful - machine washable, safe to iron, and tumble dry on low. It's the essence of farmhouse and cottage styles, a blend of the rustic and the cozy. And the reverse side? A solid color pattern in a soothing creme, like warm milk or a comforting cup of tea. Isn't it wonderful how such simple things can stir up such feelings?
