The color is perfect. It’s a soft brown color and blends nicely with a lot of color schemes. The boucle fabric is super soft and does not look cheap. It came packaged nicely. It was flat but you simply pop it open, put the liner inside and you are ready to use. As you can see, it is pretty deep for storage purposes. There is also not a smell so I feel good about using for storage immediately. Likewise, this is pretty lightweight so you can move to a lot of places and the compact size will fit well in various spaces. I recommend as a cute storage piece. Just to note, I ordered this 3 times before it was actually delivered. This is a nice looking bench. All that had to be done to assemble was to screw in the legs…..SO easy. The fabric is a boucle with a nubby texture. The gray color is very pretty. The lid doesn’t open all the way up which could be an issue if you have something larger to put in it. But for the most part, it’s perfect for blanket storage etc. The lid does stay open when the hinges are locked making it easy to grab things from inside. Love this shoe bench. Perfect size for the area I bought it for, the walk through from the garage into the house. Shoes were always left on the floor to trip over and now they can fit neatly in the shoe cubby holes. My husband's size 13 shoes also fit. Love it and highly recommend this product. It took me a while to put together but that was because I kept getting pieces backwards. Totally my error and not due to the instructions. They also included extra pieces which was very thoughtful.
