I wasnt sure about these when I first opened the packages. The smell was so strong that I had to put them in the wash immediately (watch out for crazy amounts of fuzz from the chenille!). The pattern is also printed on, not embroidered, and I thought it might look tacky. They came out of the wash pretty wrinkled even though I took them out right away, and the instructions say not to iron. And after all that - I really love them! These are really nice curtains. The background is definitely white and the stripe that runs through them does vary between navy to a lighter denim to a very light gray, but for me that was perfect for my living room. The fabric is a fairly heavy cotton (and part polyester; but they have the feel of cotton for sure). I ordered 3 pairs, and all of my stripes lined up once I hung them (I noticed in the reviews that some people complained about that). I washed them according to the instructions and they came out perfectly with no shrinkage and after ironing they looked awesome. During the day they let plenty of light in the room, and at night they definitely provide privacy even though they are semi sheer. I highly recommend these and I am extremely happy with my purchase.. I purchased 2 sets of the Ivory to fit my 104 wide window. The colors are perfect for my off whiteslightly cream colored walls and gray accents. The color description was accurate except for the shine of the silver leaves but I dont mind it at all as it adds dimension. I dont feel these are Black Out as there is some light filtration which I am ok with as they still provide privacy. I love the lightweight fabric without all the bulkiness to cover my entire window. I like the soft material of this curtain. I also like that it is t a total black-out which means there’s light that still filters through, but it provides privacy will need to hem the curtain a few inches. The orange curtains are bright and cheerful. They are a little more orange and less of a rust color. The orange toned down a bit after the curtains were hung up and there is a wall behind them. The curtain panels are well-made and room darkening. I need to take a steamer to them to get a few wrinkles out, but that is to be expected after fabric has been folded up to fit into a package.
