I didnt have a fireplace in my home and have always had one. I love how this looks and it puts out enough heat that its actually saved me on my heating bill this winter versus last winter. This was a great purchase. It replaces a smaller fireplace tv stand I had. I am very pleased with how it looks. Assembly took a while, as I did it all myself. But the instructions are detailed and clear. Just know that if you put this together, don't plan on moving for a while. Haha. This won't be easy to just disassemble. One other thing is that I had to order different wall anchors, because mine does not sit flush against the wall due to some of my cord placements behind it. This is a really nice TV stand. I just received it today. The box is extremely heavy, so I had to push it into the garage, and open it out there to carry parts in individually. It took several hours to assemble it, but it was worth it. They give you two options for the flame on the fireplace, and I prefer the crystals. I really like the glass doors. My only recommendation is that they should put a hole in the middle of the top shelf for a cord. I personally drilled my own to put a VCR in there. I really like it and spent the evening enjoying it.
