Bottom basket has two metal supports across the top, harder to put bags there but there is a zipper opening in the bag if you need to fit things I. That way, and the supports help the upper area hold heavy objects like a case of water. This is the perfect cart for handling items especially if you have stairs. It holds plenty of grocery items and is very easy to maneuver. I also use it for toting items like empty bottles for glass recycling which are far too heavy when placed in separate in bags. I live in a condo community which has a dumpster for residents' trash, so I remove the storage bag and place my trash bag (or one bag on top of another) use a string to tie the bags to the handle of the cart and easily bring the bags to the dumpster which is far better than walking to to it with two heavy bags - especially for those of us over 50. Very nice! This Rolser trolley has plenty of great features for many people. Before this I had a hard plastic basket like cart, this is way lighter, more maneuverable and smart. The fabric is clearly durable and weather proof, it is light yet strong. There is a textured black plastic on the inside of the bar for comfy holding. Be aware there is only one compartment. In some items like this one may see small pockets, but not here. I am content with this, but not everyone may be . The drawstrings have one larger toggle that holds the cords well.
