The orange curtains are bright and cheerful. They are a little more orange and less of a rust color. The orange toned down a bit after the curtains were hung up and there is a wall behind them. The curtain panels are well-made and room darkening. I need to take a steamer to them to get a few wrinkles out, but that is to be expected after fabric has been folded up to fit into a package. While this curtains are very well made and the pattern matches when you hang them they have 2 negatives one is they are VERY expensive for what you get and number two and this is the big one. They say room darkening usually that means a blackout curtain. These are not blackout curtains and you still have light coming through. I purchased these for my four year old grandsons cowboy and dinosaur room he wanted for his birthday.
