This looks good, not cheap particle board. However, I can't give 5 stars because it is so cheaply made. I don't think it's obvious unless you've assembled it. The metal is so thin- two pieces were warped from shipping . The wood is super lightweight pine. You can carve in it with a fingernail. There are already several scuffs on it before assembly. The instructions are poor. We had to take apart and put back together several times because key details were not included. Also, it shows the last step is installing glass doors, but that's impossible to do with the top piece on so I had to take it off to put doors on. There drawer has no rail or fittings , so it doesn't close all the way. In all it's better than mdf , but not worth the $ and I have serious doubts it will hold up long without scratches .. Milo. It took 43 minutes to assemble. Its lightweight but sturdy. It looks like solid wood and very good quality. I appreciate how they packaged the hardware needed. You will need a screwdriver. The only downside for me was the last step of screwing in part number 8 would be easier if you apply it before putting on the top shelf. The entire TV stand left me with a lot to be desired. The colour is completely off from the advertisement, the fit and finish is terrible. The left side of the tv stand, as pictured, was completely bowed. I had to tighten the side as much as possible without breaking the soft low quality wood that was used. The finish on the wood is entirely inconsistent and will scratch very easily. Overall, I am quite disappointed with the product especially for 300. I’m not sure I trust this to even hold my TV. Quite a nice TV stand! It arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. The instructions were clear and it was easy to put together by myself. Feels solid and looks great. I do wish it had an inch or two more internal height, but it worked out. The slatted doors allowed me to put the speakers inside the cabinet. It does affect the sound some, but not enough to be a problem for me. I bought a smaller center channel speaker and was able to fit that into the center part with the A/V receiver after modifying the shelf for fit and ventilation (see pics). I love everything about this piece EXCEPT how shortcompact it is. The design and color are beautiful but I failed to see that it was only 17” tall versus my previous 21” tall stand, leaving a bit too much space between the stand and windowsills, and the TV and soundbar. I ended up ordering a Povison one instead for 4x the price The storage is pretty limited but I could’ve made it work - only wish the entire piece was about 15-20 larger so that the height was closer to standard and the storage space was a bit more accommodating.
