It is definitely darker than the photos show, more of a very dark gray. I assume it will fade some to a lighter gray, similar to what is show. This arbor is so cute! It was difficult to put together without a drill however. There are a ton of screws needed to hold it together. The arbor is very light weight, so easy to move. I really like this garden arbor/pergola trellis. It is a pretty good size and it is reasonably stable. I think it will hold in strong winds because it will allow for movement that should against mitigate breaking. It was relatively easy for my husband to assemble.
