I first ordered these baskets 8 or 10 years ago. They are more of fabric, not a hard plastic. They were starting to unravel and handles breaking. But they have served well and I like the look so ordered another round. I use them for storing seasonal wear like hats, gloves, snow pants and swim googles. I only wish I could find the 2 smaller sizes too, though those are holding up better than these larger ones, probably due to weight and frequency of pulling them down from higher shelves. Im taking a star off because they were smaller than anticipated, which made it slightly cumbersome to do what needed to be done with one basket in particular.
