So far I love these fans. Ordered them together (2) so they would match rooms that are next to each other. The light is bright enough for large rooms, but can be dimmed, It has 6 speeds which is more than my last fans (only had 3), sturdy, so much lighter than my old ones and easy to put together (per hubby). The real wood blades are nice and very light weight. The wind speed works well for our living room and kitchen. Remote is easy to use and I like that there is a timer on the fan also of 1, 4 and 8 hours. There are 3 light settings so you can choose soft, day, and very bright (the bluish type) to fit your room needs. We like the soft one for the living room and the medium one for the kitchen. The item arrived well packaged and installation was relatively easy. The very last part of install was the light and there were two male connections instead of a male female, but just cut the end off and hardwired it not a big deal. The fan is cute and functions well. That being said, it was not a quick install. It was very hard to install the remote receiver inside the plate cover. Replaced a large chandelier with this fan - light. Fan was easy to assemble and fills the space with a nice rustic look. Fan provides ample airflow and has has run timer allowing you to set and forget it. I my installation it provides just enough light for the area but if you need this for bright area lighting you may need to find bright bulbs.
