I did think, though, that headboards had a universal fit to bed frames, and though this one did not, I left it free-standing against the wall with the bed frame unattached. Its actually pretty nice! I put it all together myself and it wasnt bad. A lot of build-your-own furniture is difficult and the holes dont always line up right. But this was easy to put together! It took me maybe 30 minutes on my own. My only issue was the delivery, it was like three days later then the original delivery date. I think Wayfair primarily uses FedEx, and they kept marking my packages undeliverable which isnt true. This is nothing against Wayfair at all, but just keep in mind that delivery may not be reliable. Only labeling this bed 4 stars due to the slats not being manufactured closer together. The slats should be 3 inches apart for the best support according to online resources but are 3.5 inches apart. This headboard was made very poorly. The outside of the frame was solid wood but the middle was made with thin strips of wood that were stapled and glued together. The whole piece was giggled and loosened during shipping and arrived split and lopsided. Wayfair sent a replacement which was just as bad so they issued us a credit. Great customer service!!!!. I had been watching this headboard for a long time. I finally ordered and it was an open box so I saved even more. This is a solid and sturdy headboard and we love it. I have added pics so you can truly see the color and what to expect.
