IMO, great chairs! The package and all parts arrived undamaged, parts are well organized in the box with clear labeling, instruction manual is well written with clear/simple drawings, the chair color (light walnut) looks good as advertised, and the chair assembly is painless. First, the included wrench is marginal. IMO, start your chair assembly with a standard wrench - it'll make for a more pleasant experience. Second, I would pre-drill all the screw hole ends to eliminate wood cracking, specifically the seat back (see photo). Use a 3/32" drill bit or smaller on hole ends to prevent wood cracking. These are nice chairs, look good and are sturdy. If you plan to keep them in the shade or in a covered porch or patio then you should be fine. It can take a little water and sun exposure from time to time, but as long as its not exposed to the elements 24/7, it should be fine. We planned to keep this out in the yard and made the mistake of choosing these wooden chairs instead of HDPE. We live in Florida, and get extreme sun and also very heavy and frequent rain. These look beautiful. 5 stars for design and aesthetics we were going for. Solid wood. Problem is, on one chair the pre-drilled holes for the arm are in the wrong place! The chair cannot be constructed where they are placed. Not user error bc we had correct ones (ordered 4) to compare it to. Manufacturing error. Also came out of the box feeling like they were packed before they were dried w stain rubbing on everything. It didn’t impact the look but was messy. Hoping my handy brother-in-law can fix the issue with the incorrect screw placement bc repacking and returning a chairs bc of the issue is not something I want to do.
