Okay! SO- first time chicken owner here. We live in Maryland and are raising chicks and ducks from babies. We live in the woods and therefore have a ton of natural predators. The coop on its own is not SUPER sturdy, but not the worst quality I have seen and works well for a yard that slopes. There are some gaps, so we enclosed the top and bottom with hardware mesh stapled into the wood and secured with cement blocks just to be sure everything would be safe, and so far so good! The cover seems like it will be reasonable for the raincolder temps. Used Wayfair assembly service, which was good but it did take 3 men four hours to assemble just FYI. Overall, happy!. Anonymous. This is my second chicken coop from Wayfair. Unlike the first one, the instructions on putting this coop together were excellent but the instructions for installing the mesh were lacking. (Unclear on how to wrap the coopdoor section). I had to buy a lot of extra zip ties. The stake hole location could be improved. Sometimes the stake holes are blocked from the coop frame. Easy assembly however it does take about 6 hours to but together. There were a few undrilled boards. Also the cover doesn't stay on with windy days with it being Velcro.
