It is very nice and more sturdy that I thought it would be. We didn’t bolt it to the deck because we didn’t want to drill into Trex. But we did bolt it to the house which worked good. The instructions are a little confusing in some parts because the pictures are tiny. And after I sliced my finger pretty good on the metal roof, I understood why they give you gloves. Razor sharp. It does the job providing shade. We use two in a 30’ round pool. Nice to not bake in the sun. Stays put on fairly breezy days. My concern is every velcro tab that hold the top to the gazebo frame, has a hole in each corner, where it’s sewn to the fabric. I don’t know how long that will hold up. I absolutely love this awning. It’s exactly what I was looking for. It is very well priced and looks very pretty. Sorry for the delayed review, but I did need to hire someone to install it. The assembly and install were a little challenging, even for a master electrician. It wasn't the level of difficulty but rather very vague instructions and more than one incorrect picture. However, we prevailed. Warning: DO NOT remove the tape and zip ties from the arms of the hardware. They are spring-loaded and should not be released until the awning has been hung. Otherwise, it'll be like trying to put a cat in a bucket of water. (we were smart about this) To assemble, have a helper on standby to pull the awning through the roller channel while someone else pushes it. A kid can help with this part. One person can assemble the main hardware. To install the brackets to the home, one person is fine as long as they have the correct drill bits and measure correctly. The brackets are great quality; however, they may not sit flush and level to the wall. We placed 2x2 blocks of wood behind each bracket to fill the empty space and make the install strong and level. To install the awning, you'll want a strong teen or adult to assist. The quality of the awning seems very good and it is attractive. I would agree with all of the reviews I read about how hard it was to assemble. Wasn’t too hard to install if you have the right tools for a brick house. Hubby needed an excuse to get a new hammer drill. We tried to get a contractor to install but it was too hard to get a call back. After a month we just installed ourselves.
