The bed is very low but that’s something I was looking for. For the guest room I did add some bed elevation blocks only because I have items stored underneath. Love this bed! It was super easy to assemble. The side rails had hooks that slid into the head and foot boards, versus some cheaper quality beds that just use cam locks. Love that! It was a bit time consuming to make this bed, at some parts the instructions were a little unclear. Regardless we got it together (hardware set was missing 1 washer), and it fit our son's mattress well. I like the built in shelving and holes for charging. Unfortunately the led light strip provided didn't work, but its ok since our son didnt need it. I like putting his favorite books and toys on the shelves, and I can plug in one of his night lights into the port which makes up for the light bar not working.
