This one is a great way to blow your mind because it is basically the rug that my dog uses to go and also I do too, but it is our first step from the outside porch, where I do a lot of gardening into my living room and it is his favorite play area. It has yet to be thrown in the washing machine, although I know how well these wash, but it has survived potting soil, a dog who really enjoyed a good role on it after he was covered in mud from the river and also when he got sick and all I had to use was my shark pet eraser cleaner, and a little bit of nature‘s miracle they are beautifully, soft, wonderfully proportioned, excellent color and excellent layer with as well as a fabulous price. I bought this 3' x 5' rug pad to try to get my area rug to stop inching it's way across my hall carpet. I received it in the time specified and it was as described on the web site. When I opened it there was no odor coming from the pad. I didn't have to cut it which was nice. After vacuuming both carpets I placed the pad between the carpet and the area rug. I had to look up how to put the pad - felt side down toward the carpet and rubber side against the area rug. A quick set-up sheet would have saved me some time and effort. The pad has added some cushion which makes it nicer to walk on. As for the traveling area rug, it has slowed down and only moves a centimeter or so a day.
