I was a little worried that this rug would be neon orange, too bright, but it is a lighter color so more subtle than a strong vibrant orange--sherbet is an accurate description. It is a lovely wool rug and I'm very happy with it, although I'm not sure how it will wear since I've never had a shag rug. It is definitely not a rug you can wear shoes walking on if you want to keep the pile from flattening out. But it is an unusual statement piece and for the sale price and quality I'm very pleased.. Everything was perfect with the rug until I washed it. Most sheepskins can be washed when soiled. However when I washed it in cold it shrunk and was all bubbly on the skin side.
